SORGENIA SpA is the largest purely private company in the energy industry in Italy. Established in 1999. SORGENIA SpA, apart from the energy production and sale of electricity, is also supplying the Italian market with natural gas. In the electricity sector SORGENIA has an installed capacity of 3800 MW, under construction more than 800 MW and about 560,000 customers. SORGENIA apart from the combined cycle plants from natural gas, has also a large presence in the electricity production from renewable energy sources (photovoltaic and wind farms, hydroelectric power stations, etc.). SORGENIA, has a production plant of photovoltaic panels, handles about 5 billion cubic meters of gas, of which three for own needs (5 billion in 2012). It operates in Italy, France and Romania.
